This is an assignment I did for Czech class, but there's definitely a Yiddish influence. Skip down to the English translation to see what I mean.

Clytemnestra Jefferson a Jan Janáček se potkali před Karlovem náměstím. Clytemnestra se ptá Jana na cestu.

C: Prosím vás, kde je Vyšehrad?
J: Je tam, na vysočinu. Vidíte?
C: Věřím, ale nevidím. Bolí mě oči dnes. Jak se může jít na Vyšehrad?
J: Hm. Jaké jsou nohy?
C: Fajn, děkuju.
J: Dnes je hezký. Musíte procházet po Vltavě. Půjdete rovně na ulici Resslová k Vltavě a zahnete doleva. Ta ulice se jmenuje Rašinovo nábřeží. Půjdete rovně pod mostem a zahnete doleva Na Libušnice. Uvidíte tam schody.
C: Kolik schody?
J: Nevím, možná 47?
C: Prosím, jsem jistá že je to krásná procházka, ale tolik schody nemůžu výstup. Jak se může jet na Vyšehrad?
J: Máte vrtulník?
C: Ne.
J: Tak čekáte tramvaj 4/6/10/16/22/23 na ulici Ječná. Jedete do zastávky I.P. Pavlova. Jdete trochu zpět do metra C do Háje. Jedete jenom jedna stanice. Tam se můžete ptát někoho, všichni znájí Vyšehrad. Budete už na vysočinu, nemají žadné schod.
C: Jsou schody do metra?
J: Samozřejmě!
C: Prosím vás, kde můžu si půjčit vrtulník?

In English this works out to:

Clytemnestra Jefferson and Jan Janacek meet in front of Charles Square. Clytemnestra is asking Jan for directions.

C: Excuse me, where is Vysehrad?
J: It's there, on the hill. Do you see?
C: I believe you, but I don't see. My eyes are bothering me today. How can I walk to Vysehrad?
J: Hm. How are your feet?
C: Well, thank you.
J: It's nice out today. You must stroll along the Vltava. Go straight on Resslova St. until the Vltava and turn left. That street is called Rasinovo Quay. Go straight under the bridge and turn left on Libusnice. You'll see stairs there.
C: How many stairs?
J: I don't know, maybe 47?
C: Please, I'm sure it's a lovely stroll, but I can't climb that many stairs. How else can I get to Vysehrad?
J: Do you have a helicopter?
C: No.
J: Then wait for tram 4/6/10/16/22/23 on Jecna St. Go to the I.P. Pavlova station. Walk back a bit to the subway C toward Haje. Go only one stop. There you can ask someone, everyone knows Vysehrad. You'll already be on the hill, they don't have any stairs there.
C: Are there stairs to the subway?
J: Of course!
C: Excuse me, where can I rent a helicopter?
